Dr. Farheen Ali received her medical degree from the DOW University of Health Sciences in Karachi. She then went on to the US to complete her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston (a University of Illinois affiliated program) and subsequently her Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the joint University of Chicago/University of Illinois Infectious Diseases Program. Dr. Farheen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
Returning to Pakistan, Dr. Farheen joined Liaquat National Hospital as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases from 2003 to 2007, and then joined the Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi where she left as Assistant Professor in 2014.
She is currently with GSK Pakistan, where she is the Area Medical Expert for the region. She is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of Pakistan and has several publications in peer reviewed journals. She is also an Examiner at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan.
