Mahawish(Misha) Rezvi is a multimedia journalist from Pakistan currently
working as a freelancer. She recently won an Emmy Award for
Outstanding Research for her work on the PBS Frontline film ‘Outlawed in
Pakistan.’ She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of
Journalism. Raised and
educated in Hong Kong, Pakistan, Austria and the United States, she started her
journalism career in Pakistan’s broadcast-media industry, with Geo News Television
Network and Dawn News. She was a web/TV producer for Thomson Reuters’
web platform, Reuters Insider in New York City. She then moved back to Pakistan
and worked for the Express Tribune and Thomson Reuters. She is currently
producing an independent film project based in Karachi. She splits her time
between Islamabad and Karachi.
