Dr Amin A. Gadit, Graduated from Dow Medical College in 1984, completed internship from Civil Hospital Karachi, after getting through Sindh Public Commission, was appointed as a lecturer in Physiology in Sindh Medical College, and meanwhile passed MCPS from College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 1987 in the subject of community medicine. In order to pursue a career in Psychiatry, went to the Republic of Ireland and followed a Post Graduate training program for a period of 5 years. His PG Qualifications are: MRCPsych (London), FRCP (Ireland), PhD (UK), Board Certification in Psychiatry (London), DPM (Ireland), and DCP (Ireland), MCPS (PK).
He worked as Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in Baqai University Pakistan, as Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Hamdard University Pakistan, was appointed as full Professor in November 2001 and Vice-Principal Hamdard College of Medicine. In September 2004, he went to Canada to take up a position as a Consultant Psychiatrist with River Valley Health Region 3 in Fredericton, New Brunswick. He was appointed as full Professor with tenure at Memorial University of Newfoundland Canada, in February 2006 and working in this capacity since that time.
