CCPO Karachi Waseem Ahmed is the ninth Karachi Police Chief since the post was established. It may be noted here that after the promulgation of the Police Order 2002, the Deputy Inspector General of Police Karachi’s seat was upgraded as Capital City Police Officer Karachi.Regarding CCPO Karachi Waseem Ahmed he was awarded with highest gallantry awards President Police Medal (1983), Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal (1994). He also attended foreign courses Escort and Protective Services, Germany Airport Police Management USA, and courses and training were Technique of Interrogation and Investigation, National Police Academy, Islamabad (1978), District Command Course, National Police Academy, Islamabad (1979) Advanced Course in Public Sector Management NIPA, Karachi (December 2003).
CCPO Waseem previously posted as SSP Central and East after promotion was posted as Deputy Director Immigration, Karachi Airport, Deputy Commandant FC (Karachi), General Manager, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, Karachi, D.I.G Headquarters (Balochistan), DIG Gwadar Range and presently posted as DIG Headquarters Sindh.
