Prof. Dr Tasnim Ahsan is a graduate of Dow Medical College Karachi (Class of 1978), received postgraduate training in UK and became a Memberof the Royal College of Physicians, UK in 1983 within the shortest possible time.
She returned to serve Pakistan as Assistant Prof. Medicine at Dow Medical College in 1985 and subsequently joined JPMC, where she till a month back served as Professor of Medicine & Medical Director.
She has been awarded honorary Fellowship if The Royal Colleges of London, Edinburgh & Glasgow, as well as the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan. She is one of the founder members of the Endocrine Society of Pakistan & Medicine & Endocrine foundation at Ward 6 JPMC; she also serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Pakistan Medical Association (JPMA). She has authored numerous scientific articles in national & international journals.
