Mr. Saalim Salam Ansari, Advocate was born at Lahore on 11th April, 1962. He is son of (Late) Muhammad Abdus Salam Ansari, M.Sc., (Alig.) F.Z.S. (London), (Retd.), Director of Fisheries, Wapda & Govt. of Sindh and Mrs. Khurshid Ansari, M.A, LL.B. (Alig.). Mr. Ansari is deirect descendent of Zabrdast Khan Ansari, a ruler of Kashmir state during the Afghan’s regime, who was grand son of Pir-e-Roshan Hazrat Bayazid Ansari first prose writer of Pushto language and author of first Pushto prose book “Khair-ul-Biaan”, and who had launched “Roshinia Movement” in Waziristan against Mughal Emperor Akbar, Bayazid was also ancestor of Hakim Alim-uddin Ansari known as Nawab Wazir Khan a Governor of Punjab since (1627 to 1635) during Emperor Shahjahan’s regime, who had built Masjid Wazir Khan, Pari Mahal and Bara Dari Wazir Khan at Lahore.
He completed his graduation in English, Economics and Political Science from Government College, Jehlum in 1980 and was awarded Master’s Degree in Political Science and History from Punjab University, Lahore. He was done law from Punjab University Law College, Lahore. He took active part in student politics and university debates.
He started legal practice in 1987 at Karachi and joined the law chamber of Prominent Lawyer, Mr. Kamal Azfar. He is practicing as an Advocate in fields of Constitutional, Civil, Commercial, Company, Privatisation, Arbitration Taxes, Shipping & Banking Laws and running his own Law Firm “ANSARI &ANSARI”, having expertise in “Banking & Corporate Laws”, “Arbitration” and “Privatization”.
